What began in 2016 as an intimate South London gathering has grown into a small ecosystem – living, breathing, guided by the same people and pulse. Still independent.

Around us, the noise grows louder – ticket prices swell, screens fill the air.
Superstars rise, VIP barriers follow.
And sometimes we wonder – where does this money keep coming from?
And where does it go when the music stops?

In Peckham Rye, we keep to our rhythm.
Connection. Community. Care.
Choosing longevity over quick prosperity.
Soul over spectacle. Truth over trend.

We believe in artists and collectives who do it for love, not glory.
In dancefloors that feel like home, not content.
In music that outlives the moment, and in dancers who lose themselves within it.

As we step into our eleventh year, we do it with renewed purpose and gratitude.
You are the reason GALA endures.
The reason it still feels real.
