GALA 2019 is now at capacity and fully sold out – however, our friends at Jam On Rye Festival, also taking place in Peckham Rye Park (Monday 27th May), still have residents tickets available.
GALA Festival is an independent music, culture and arts festival which launched in 2016, and took place in Peckham Rye Park in 2018. The event showcases the best food, drink and music from South East London and surrounding areas. GALA is returning to Peckham Rye Park on Sunday 26th May 2019 and the organisers are keen to make sure that the event takes place with minimal disruption to park users, local residents and local businesses alike.
This page is dedicated to the local community and updated regularly with relevant information as and when confirmed. Please check this page if you would like to find out more about the event.
Community Consultation Meetings
The voice of local residents in the community is hugely important to us. We welcome your feedback from previous events, and on the operational plans for the 2019 events. You are invited to join the GALA Festival Event Management Team at the Community Consultation Meetings we are holding as part of the planning process for the 2019 events.
Thanks to all who attended the first Community Consultation Meeting on 10th December 2018 and to those who attended the second meeting on 13th March 2019.
Through continued consultation with local residents, stakeholders, Southwark Council and the Safety Advisory Group we endeavour to make improvements to the events and deliver the best possible experience.
Details for the next meeting will be posted here once confirmed.
In December 2018 we held an open forum Community Consultation Meeting at Peckham Levels, a link to the presentation delivered at the Community Consultation Meeting in December is available here.
A link to the Residents Letter that was delivered on Saturday 6th April is available to view and download here: GALA Residents Letter 2019 V7
Further resources will follow. This page will be updated when relevant information is confirmed and ready for public announcement.
If you have any questions about the event please email email@example.com.
Residents tickets: information for discounted residents tickets was distributed via a letter drop in early March and the allocation has now completely sold out.
